A series of entrepreneurs and ethical hackers participated in HackPRMA 2016, sponsored by Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association, during May 28 and 29, 2016 at the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.  Mentors, consultants and students met to offer their strengths collaborating as teams for creating interdisciplinary innovative solutions using technological tools in a period of 24 hours, to solve social, cultural or economic real challenges or opportunities.  An ethical hacker is who identifies a problem and creatively uses development skills and technological tools to solve it.  The technical marathon rewards the best prototypes and solutions in information technology, manufacturing, banking, pharmaceuticals, services, medical devices, agriculture, healthcare and educational areas.  Solutions are related to hardware, web or mobile applications.  INGELLICOM collaborated as Mentor and Expositor during the event.  Winners of the event will be presented during PRMA annual convention on June 2nd, 2016.  Top five winners will have the opportunity to present their solutions at the Tech Summit on June 7th.  The main purpose of the event is to position Puerto Rico as a global headquarter of innovation and creativity through technological development into the current knowledge economy.
